CSE Engineering becomes Distributor for Woodward Turbine Control Products

In early 2003, CSE was recognized as one of the first Recognized Turbine Retrofit (RTR) Partner companies by Woodward Industrial Products of Ft. Collins, Co. In 2004, CSE expanded its role by also becoming the distributor of Woodward turbine control products in California and western Nevada.

CSE Installs Complete Replacement of Plant DCS

In early 2004, CSE installed a new distributed control system (DCS) at Berry Petroleum's cogeneration plant in Newhall, California. This upgrade completely replaced the original plant control system and has improved plant reliability and ease of operation. The change over was done during a scheduled week-long plant outage. CSE Installs Steam Turbine Protection System

CSE recently designed and installed a steam turbine protection system that incorporates overspeed, loss of condenser vacuum, loss of lube oil and loss of control oil pressure. The system complies with API 670 and is based on single failure criteria. The heart of the system is a Woodward Protech 203 TMR overspeed protection system with additional value added engineering by CSE including redundant trip solenoids.
