Overview
IBECS HMI
IBECS Basics
IBECS is CSE Engineering's name for the ultimate in plant controls integration. The heart of this product is the Human/Machine Interface (HMI) that is used to collect and display data from many different sources in a consistent and easy to use fashion.
Most plants have a variety of control and data acquisition devices that have been installed over the years. Many of these devices were supplied as stand-alone systems or else use components which have no data networking capability. While plant operators would like to have all data brought into a centralized control room, it is not always possible to justify the complete replacement of these devices. Even newer systems have not always been supplied with compatible data communication capabilities.
CSE's IBECS design is a way to integrate a wide variety of legacy and newer devices into a plant-wide system that provides state-of-art data display, control and analysis features. IBECS provides a plant operator with a dependable system that makes maximum use of existing equipment and gives the latest HMI features to a plant of any vintage.
Feature Summary
IBECS uses HMI software based on VTS from Trihedral Engineering (www.trihedral.com). VTS is a widely used platform that combines ease-of-use with advance programming features making it possible to build an HMI application to suit any need. The software runs on Microsoft Windows (XP or Windows7 32-bit) compatible computers.
